A Sampling of What's Happening at the Whitman County Library
for the week of August 18, 2014

 

Thursday, August 21

Rosalia – 11 a.m. – Summer Writing Series with Children’s Author Marcy Campbell –Learn how to use words, colors and emotions to convey action and plot elements. Children grades 4 and up are invited to this free event. All materials are provided by the Friends of the Rosalia Library.

Endicott – 7 p.m. – Book Club – Join the discussion of Brunonia Barry’s, “The Lace Reader.” Everyone’s invited.

Friday, August 22

Colfax – The Whitman Samplers are raffling a quilt to raise money for great causes. The quilt is on display at the library and tickets are just $1.

Saturday, August 23

Palouse – 11 a.m. – Martha Mullen and Reflections on the Road – Join Martha as she discusses her book, “Reflections on the Road” and the discoveries made while on the road of Whitman County.

Monday, August 25

Colfax – 10 a.m. – Fit & Fun with Nancy Stanard – Low impact aerobic workouts. Cost is $5 per class. For more information, contact Nancy at (509) 288-1117.

Schmuck Park in Colfax – 6 p.m. – Fitness Boot Camp with Carissa Little – For more information or to register, contact Carissa at purefitpersonaltraining@gmail.com

Tekoa – 6 to 8 p.m. – Parenting Wisely Online Class – Tekoa residents who have registered to take the class can get extra time and expert help. Snacks will be provided.
