Adult STEM Training at the Colfax Library
with Free STARS Hours on March 12

The Colfax Library is ready for school with science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) training for adults. This hands-on workshop is designed for teachers, providers, librarians, and others interested in STEM concepts for preschoolers. The class is Saturday, March 12 from 10-2 p.m.

STEM activities for young children are important for Kindergarten readiness. This training is designed to help adults become more comfortable in teaching these important concepts to preschoolers. Attendees also learn how to develop lesson plans and ways to engage families with young kids in STEM activities.

The training is provided by a grant to the Spokane County Library District from Thrive Washington, Spokane STEM and the Inland Northwest Early Learning Alliance. Trainer, Mary Ellen Braks is offering free, four hours of STARS credits under the grant provisions.

Space is limited, so please call Sheri Miller, 509-397-4366 at the Colfax Library by March 10 to register.
