Informational programs on Medicare and supplements
Whitman County Library is pleased to announce that local financial advisor and Insurance Representative Gary Schmick will be leading a series of programs in several of our branches to help residents navigate the mysteries of Medicare and Medicare supplements. Schmick has 20 years of experience in insurance and financial planning with customers in Whitman and Spokane counties. According to Gary, “These programs will be helpful both for current Medicare recipients and those that are nearing age 65. I’ll be bringing lots of handouts and demonstrating useful websites.” The format will consist of a 30 minute presentation with the remaining open to questions and review. Everyone is welcome to drop in at any time during the scheduled two hours.
Programs are currently scheduled for the following dates and locations: Colfax Library, October 22 and November 19 from 3 to 5 p.m., St. John Library October 29 from 1 to 3 p.m. and Tekoa Library November 5 from 1 to 3 p.m. Watch for additional programs in other locations. The Medicare Mondays are planned as informational programs, but appointments can be made with Mr. Schmick to discuss and review your current Medicare and Medicare Supplement coverage or to help purchase policies if you are nearing Medicare enrollment.
