Temporary Closure of All Branches of Whitman County Library
Library, book returns, and catalog closed.

All 14 branches of Whitman County Library and all book drops are closed due to the COVID-19 outbreak. We are asking residents to keep all materials until the library reopens.

The online catalog can no longer accept requests for materials but patrons can still download eBooks, eAudio and save requests to a list that can be submitted when the library reopens. Many of these same download services are also available from the library's Overdrive link and Libby app.

From the library's website, patrons can access will valuable electronic resources like Lynda.com, Mango Language Instruction, NewsBank Newspapers, Microsoft Coursework and more. In addition, the library has gathered website resources to assist and educate community members of all ages. All are found under the "Library Resources" link which is being updated on a regular basis.

To access these helpful resources or find the most current information on the closure, visit www.whitco.lib.wa.us. Here you can also link to Whitman County Library's Facebook, blog and newsletter.

In compliance with Washington Governor Jay Inslee's "Stay at Home" order, most staff will be working from home so phones are not being answered at this time. Residents can email library staff at info@whitco.lib.us or leave a message at 877-733-3375.

Our many online resource are still available here and downloadabe eBooks are available here.
