Popular Barn Calendars benefit Friends of Library

It is located just outside of Colfax on highway 272
Steve Van Vleet of WSU’s Whitman County Extension office and the Friends of Whitman County Library have again teamed to produce the 2012 Barns of Whitman County calendar. Calendars sell for just $6 and are available from any Whitman County Library location along with Rosauers and Ace Hardware of Colfax and the Pullman Chamber of Commerce. Proceeds of the calendar sales benefit the countywide programs and projects funded by Friends of the Library.
Over the past two years, Van Vleet’s popular calendars have sold very quickly. Whitman County Library’s director Kristie Kirkpatrick says, “People love these barn calendars and I’ve heard people are using them as a guide to locate and visit area barns.”
