Are you a family, friend or neighbor providing care for a child or infant? Do you want the opportunity to share early learning experiences or just get out of the house and meet new people? Would you like to find out about resources you can utilize in your community? If you answered yes to any of the above, the Whitman County Library and Child Care Resource & Referral (CCRR) hopes to see you and your child at playgroup starting this fall.

Play & Learn is planned each Friday from 10:00-11:30 am beginning October 23 for anyone wanting to attend a community play group. Participants may come for the entire 90 minutes or anytime in between. The playgroup is an open format suitable for dropping in or leaving early. Due to the upcoming Colfax Library renovation, the group is scheduled to meet on the second floor of the U.S. Bank building. Please use the entrance on Spring Street across the library's back parking lot.

Child Care Resources launched the Play & Learn network in 2006 in partnership with numerous community organizations, public agencies, and others committed to strengthening the supports available to Family, Friend and Neighbor caregivers and the young children in their care. Our vision is that all children have a great start to early learning and positive childhood experiences.

Coordinated by the Whitman County Library and CCRR, the Play & Learn group invites you and your children to attend this free, community playgroup each Friday morning beginning at 10 am.
