The
Community of Endicott and resident Gail Bilow were named top
library supporters for January and February by the Trustees and
Friends of Whitman County Library. Awards were presented to
Endicott Mayor Vern Strader and his wife Barbara along with Gail
Bilow during a recent visit to their library. Library Board
Chairman John Aune, Friends vice-president Wanda Alderman and
Branch manager Caroline Morasch presented the awards.
The Community of Endicott was
honored for its overwhelming support of library services within the
community, including the passage of library annexation by 85% in
November. Use of the Endicott Library ranks among the top in the
district reporting the busiest statistics per hour and a very
popular adult craft series.
Gail Bilow was commended for
generously donating her time, talents and materials to the Endicott
branch for Adult Craft Programs. She consistently supplies the
Endicott librarian with wonderful ideas on future craft programs and
assists with the programs. Barbara Strader called Bilow one of the
most talented people in town.
The Board of Trustees and
administration of the Whitman County Rural Library District sponsor
the Library Supporter award to recognize those individuals and
groups that play an irreplaceable role in supporting and
supplementing the library's budget and activities.
