Whitman County Library announces two important resources available for public use from the library's website. An online subscription to Consumer Reports has been added bringing all residents of Whitman County access to this product for free, a service for which they would normally pay a fee. The second addition is a link to Parent Help 1,2,3, a one-stop website allowing residents to determine if they qualify for state-sponsored health and food programs.

Consumer Reports online is one of the most trusted resources for information and advice on consumer products. Product categories ranges from appliances and automobiles to electronics and garden items. Consumer Reports provides buying advice, ratings report cards, recommendations, test reviews and more. To access Consumer Reports for free online, simply visit the library's website at the library's website and select the link to electronic resources. Parent Help 1,2,3 is a one-stop method for locating and applying for state-sponsored programs like WIC, Basic Food (Food Stamps), free and low-cost health insurance for children, pregnant women and adults. There are also links to important programs such as local food banks, summer meal sites, dental, prenatal and free or low cost parenting resources. Parent Help 1,2,3 can be found on the front page of the library's website or by visiting www.parenthelp123.org.
