Colfax
library services and programs are now available in our temporary
home at the rear of the US Bank building. We have public
computers, a small collection of popular items and your favorite
librarians. Call ahead, 397-4366, or order online if you want to
have your requests waiting at the desk for pickup. Book and
video returns will remain in their convenient location in front
of the library. The Colfax Library will continue to be open
seven days a week to serve you.
The temporary children's
program area is upstairs at the US Bank building. Come in the
Spring street entrance and follow the giggles and songs. Children's
Storytime programs in Colfax are each Thursday with Baby Time
for ages 0-2 years from 10:10-10:30, Toddler Time for ages 2-3
from 10:30-11:00 and Preschool Time for ages 4 and up from
11-11:30.
Play and Learn Day time for
infants, toddlers, young children and those who care for them is
Fridays from 10-11:30. Participants are invited for the entire
time, or to drop in and out as is convenient.
Third Thursday club will
meet after school on December 17. Children in grades 1 5 are
welcome to join the winter fun with stories, crafts, snacks and
fun. For information about any of the library's children's
programs, contact Sheri or Nichole at 397-4366.
There is still plenty of
time to request books to help with your holiday entertaining and
gift giving. Visit us online at the
Whitman County Library website. Our
online catalog has cover photos, summaries and often books
reviews. Drop by or call any of our branches if you would like
some help using the catalog.
